    Bring a stuffy friend to join in on the fun! There will be stories about friendship, songs and a craft. Leave your stuffy friends with us for a special sleepover. You can pick up your friend March 8 from 10-3 p.m. Registration begins February 6 and ends when session is full.

  • Seed Library Celebration

    Stop by the community room to pick out seeds for your spring garden. From 5:30-6:30 join MSU Extension Wayne County Educator Lindsey Kerr as she talks about how to start cool season crops (like cabbage, kale and broccoli) as well as warm season favorites (like tomatoes, peppers and eggplants). Each participant will take home a small pot of seeds to start at home. Registration is required by calling 734-283-1250 or by stopping by the circulation desk.

The kit features a small sample of Sumac, a brief description/history of the spice, recipes featuring the spice and a few blank recipe cards to record your own creations. Registration not required.     We have a whole group of fluffy stuffed animals friends that need a little TLC. Participants can use our vet tools to take care of these pretend pets (or bring one of your own) and help them feel their best.     On Christmas Eve 1913 73 people died (mostly children) in a stampede following a false cry of "Fire!" at the Italian Hall in Calumet in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The tragedy occurred during a miner's strike in the "Copper Country”. Make plans to attend to hear the rest of the story. Best suited for ages 13+. Registration begins April 16 and ends when event is full.
